Social Media and Audience Strategist

We’re looking for a Social Media and Audience Strategist to join our team and lead data-informed, brand-wide strategies that achieve our clients’ business goals. This role goes beyond campaign planning—you’ll apply a sophisticated, insights-driven and culture-centric approach to all aspects of a brand’s social presence, including brand guidelines, audience research, reporting, workflows, and policy. Working with clients across technology and entertainment, you’ll develop and execute initiatives that resonate deeply with online audiences.
As a hands-on collaborator, you’ll engage with teams and clients at all levels, bringing a passion for social platforms, fandoms, and internet culture. You’ll turn audience insights into actionable strategies and ensure smooth, data-driven execution that aligns with the unique objectives of each client.
This client-facing role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution. You’ll bring perspective on emerging trends and real-time insights, while also helping inform broader marketing and brand strategies.
Responsibilities:
Lead Holistic Social Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive social strategies that influence all aspects of a brand’s online presence, from brand guidelines to campaign tactics.
Deliver Insights: Create reports that interpret quantitative and qualitative data, offering actionable insights that align with client goals.
Guide Strategy and Policy: Provide high-level insights and feedback on policy, campaign strategy, influencer selection, social guidelines, and workflows.
Conduct Audits and Reviews: Evaluate and optimize client brand guidelines, marketing strategies, and social media playbooks.
Manage Influencer Campaigns: Identify key influencers, develop partnerships, and oversee collaborations.
Research Trends: Draft briefs on emerging trends tailored to clients’ needs in technology and entertainment.
Crisis Management: Provide real-time guidance for clients in crisis situations.
Enhance Brand Messaging: Develop data-driven recommendations to strengthen client brand presence, engagement, and messaging.
Drive Innovation: Keep EA1’s strategies at the forefront of social and digital innovation.
Requirements:
Deep knowledge of social and influencer marketing, shown through a portfolio of impactful, results-focused work
Up-to-date on social trends, creators, and internet culture
7+ years of social media brand experience, in-house or agency, focused on technology or entertainment brands
Strong understanding of social platforms, consumer trends, and creative tactics
Ability to derive insights from performance analytics in real-time
Exceptional client-facing presentation and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse personalities and advance projects
Self-starter who can bring order to ambiguous situations with a steady hand
Experience creating and publishing content across major social platforms
Based in the greater SF or LA area, with availability for occasional in-person client meetings (approx. 10%)
